The location was great, with easy access to bus stops and not far from the bustling areas of Honolulu and Waikiki. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were excellent. Our bedroom and bathroom were spacious and convenient. The hostel was kept meticulously clean, following the Board of Health regulations of Hawaii. We highly recommend staying here if you're attending a conference at the nearby University of Hawaii or simply exploring Honolulu.
Nothing bad to say. 😊

During my Christmas stay, I really liked the cleanliness of the hostel. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was always spotless. I also enjoyed the fact that the hostel was located in a quiet part of town, perfect for a restful vacation. Additionally, the hostel's proximity to the university provided great bus connections, making it easy to explore the city.
One aspect I disliked was the lack of parking in the area, as it was a residential neighborhood. Finding a parking spot on the street was quite a challenge.

I really liked the convenience of this place. The location was great, with lots of things within walking distance. It only took about an hour to walk to the beach, and there were also bus stops nearby. The other guests were friendly and I felt safe as a solo traveler. The hostel had a community kitchen, which was a nice feature. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even had a TV room with board games and toys for kids.
There were a few things that I didn't like about my stay here. the online information was misleading and different from the actual experience.

The staff at Hostelling International were amazing, especially Sue. She had a special something that is hard to describe, and her polite and helpful nature really made a difference. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transport and just a 20-minute ride to Waikiki. There was also a bike sharing station nearby for those who wanted to explore the island in a sporty way. The hostel itself was very quiet and peaceful, making it a great place to get a good night's sleep and rest. The cleanliness of the place was impressive, even though it may not have been the newest. The beds were comfortable, and as a European, I was relieved that there was no AC in the room. The bathrooms were clean, and the roommates were quiet and respectful. it was a wonderful place to stay and explore the island.
Everything was spot on! 👍
